Product Details

Our retro styled Honda CB750 T-shirt. The CB750 was the first motorcycle to be called a Superbike after one of the motorcycling press guys tagged it during its launch at the 1968 Tokyo motorcycle show.

Whether it was actually the first superbike is open for debate - just because it was the first to carry the name doesn't mean there were none before it. The Triumph Trident, Brough Superior SS100 and of course, the Vincent Black Shadow are all worthy contenders and I go into detail in the blog post "Worlds First Superbike."

What isn't up for debate is that the Honda CB750 was the first of the UJM super bikes.
