The Honda CBX 6 cylinder motorcycle was basically a "look what we can do" from the Honda engineers. Although the 6 cylinder Benelli 750 sei had been in production a good 6 years prior to the CBX The Honda was credited as the first Superbike to have 6 cylinders.
Made from 78 until 82 it was the most expensive superbike on the road at the time yet couldn't compete with its rivals for either handling or top speed. It was remarked as a sports tourer after a couple of years but remained in production for just 4 years.
It is now considered a classic motorcycle of the era and has seen its value rise considerably.
